McNally Bharat Engineering Co has bagged a contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals for civil, structural and architectural works of a coal handling and ash handling plant package for 2X250 MW units at Barauni Thermal Power Project in Begusarai district of Bihar. The contract is valued at Rs.1038.5 million. The work is to be completed within 20 months.

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has secured a contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, Mumbai for construction of roadbed, major and minor bridges, track linking among others works in connection with the doubling of Bhigwan- Mohol section (127.14 km). This is part of Daund Gulbarga doubling in Solapur division of the Central Railways in Maharashtra. The project is to be completed in 42 months from the date of commencement of work. The contract is valued at Rs.2339.3 million.

McNally Bharat’ Bags Coal Handling Contract

Bharat Heavy Electricals has bagged a contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd for setting up a 160 MW gas-based plant in Rajasthan. The contract is for Stage IV expansion of Ramgarh power plant in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The scope of contract covers design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the main plant and providing equipment for the gas-based power project comprising one Frame 9E gas turbine with generator, one heat recovery steam generator, one steam turbine generator and associated auxiliaries with controls and instruentation system. The equipment for the project will be supplied by BHEL’s Hyderabad, Trichy and Bengaluru plants, while the company’s power sector – Northern Region will undertake erection and commissioning of the equipment.

Toshiba JSW Turbine and Generator have secured a contract from Meja Urga Nigam for the supply of two units of supercritical steam turbine generators of 660 MW each. Meja Urga is a joint venture of NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. The scope of the contract covers engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation and testing of the steam turbine generator island.

McNally Bharat Engineering has secured an order from Tata Projects for general civil works for 3X 67.5 MW gasbased captive thermal power plant of Industrial Energy Ltd at Kalinganagar in Jaipur district of Odisha. The contract is valued at Rs.1386 million. The work is to be completed within 16 months.
